TIPS AND STRATEGIES FOR THE CRAPS PLAYER

To better his odds at walking away with some winnings rather than an empty pocket, there are a number of things a crap player can do.
1. Know the rules.
2. Know the odds of each bet. A pair of dice can only have 36 combinations totaling 2-12. The odds of each number being rolled are: 2-1/36; 3-2/36; 4-3/36; 5-4/36; 6-5/36; 7-6/36 (seven is the most likely number to be rolled); 8-5/36; 9-4/36; 10-3/36; 11-2/36; 12-1/36.
3. When betting, don't bet the bets with high house edge percentages (see rule number 2).
4. Don't bet numbers on past percentage hits. If a seven hasn't been rolled in seventeen times, it is not any more likely to be rolled the next throw. Each roll has its own percentage odds, don't try to change them.
5. 'Good' craps bets are: the pass line bet; the don't pass line bet; the come bet; the don't come bet; and betting with odds.
6. The following bets give the house an extremely high house edge and so should be avoided. A player needs to look at the odds not the payoff before placing any of
the following bets: Place bets; field bets; big six bets; big eight bets; any hardway bets; and any proposition bet.
7. Craps players must manage their bankrolls wisely. A lot of a players money can be on the table at once, spread over different bets.
8. Don't bet on a 'hunch' or 'gut feeling'.

 TIPS FOR PLAYING BACCARAT

A guaranteed winning system does not work with Baccarat as it is a true game of chance. But, even though these guaranteed fool-proof systems don't work, there are a few tips, that if taken,really can increase a players odds (or maybe decrease the house odds).
1. As previously stated, don't use a guaranteed winning system in Baccarat. Most of the systems on the market are based on the player beginning with a large amount of money.
2. Don't bother to try to count cards. The possible small gain in odds is not worth the time and effort spent.
3. Set a betting limit and stick to it. Either a per hand or total betting limit, either will do.
4. Different casinos play with a varying number of decks. The fewer decks that are played with the better the players odds.
5. Don't bet on the tie. It rarely wins.
6. The bankers hand is known to win more than the players hand.
7. Lastly, don't be intimidated by the game of Baccarat. It may be glamorized as a wealthy professional gambler's game that is extremely hard to learn. In actuality, Baccarat is one of the easiest casino card games to learn with only three allowable ways to bet.

BEGINNING BLACKJACK STRATEGY

Blackjack is the most popular table game at the casino.  Blackjack is a numbers game.  If a player is good with math and numbers, or can memorize easily, then blackjack is the game for him.  There are proven methods which can be learned and applied to the game to decrease the house edge.  The most rudimental tip is one that is often overlooked, possibly because it is an obvious given, but one that beginners tend to forget.  The only person a player has to beat is the dealer.  Simple, but easily forgotten.  When the hands begin to go fast, the beginner tends to look at other hands on the table, trying to determine which ones his hand will beat.  He often forgets he doesn’t have to beat them.  The game is between he and the dealer only.  That’s it. 

      In Blackjack, the player only has to beat one hand in order to win. Blackjack has every possible play on charts or easy to memorize one liners such as this tip from the ‘hard hand’ chart---if the player has eight or less (showing) always hit.  These tips are available on charts, in paragraph form, or in one liners such as the one given.  One method of learning them is to make one liner flash cards and study them, much as a grade school student learns his multiplication tables.  These basic moves are important, they should all be memorized before trying to play blackjack.  They won’t make a player a 100% winner but knowing them will decrease the house edge. Another method is the controversial number counting method.  There are several different number counting methods which have been proven to work.  The methods range from fairly easy to very mathematical.  Although, completely legal, if caught counting numbers, the casino has every right to bar the number counting player from the blackjack tables.
